Each year, NCA honors the best in communication, presenting awards for outstanding scholarship, teaching, and professional service. The following awards recognize a wide range of contributions to the communication discipline.   

Distingushed Scholar Award 

Honors a lifetime of scholarly achievement in the study of human communication. NCA Distinguished Scholars are elected by previously named Distinguished Scholars.
